Allington Castle Archers is an open club that was formed in 1969, making it one of the longest-established clubs in the south-east. It has a large active membership including many Junior and Longbow Archers. The club focuses mainly on target archery with recurve and compound bows, and there are several senior and county coaches among the membership. There is a wealth of experience in the club and numbers are expanding - archers new to the area and beginners are always welcome.

The club meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5.30pm onwards, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00am onwards. We currently shoot at the Westborough Primary School, Tonbridge Road, Maidstone. However, we once shot in the grounds of the beautiful Allington Castle - hence the name of our club. Sadly, the castle was sold and we had to move to our current location.

As a club we take part in many events on a team basis, including the Mid Kent League (a Kent County inter-club competition). Many of our members also take part in other open tournaments collectively as well as individually.
